Overview of Growing London
London is a very developed city, but to keep this city running they have to clear lots of land for new buildings, roads, bridges, and airports. The Thames River is a major contributor to the Londoner's everyday life by providing electricity and connecting different parts of the bay. They have to build bridges and dams on the river which can often cause pollution to the river. Also since London has many ports along the Thames River they have to build these ports and the boats that float along them which can cause more pollution to the river. London also provides plenty of minerals which means they have to clear land to drill for those minerals. Londoner's interact with their environment in many different ways from digging, to clearing land, to polluting rivers for economy reasons.
This is one of London's major college hospitals. They say they had to clear many trees and plants to have this major hospital in center city.
This is a very famous bridge that lays over the Thames River in middle London. Creating this has caused many environmental problems including pollution and destruction of habitat to the birds and animals in the river.
